Private Messages (PM's) sitting in outbox.
PM's differ to emails, in that they are sent by you and are seen as being in your "outbox" until the other person opens that message.
A helpful feature with PM's is that while they are sitting in your Outbox, you can edit, or delete them. As soon as the person you have sent the message to
looks in their Inbox, they will see your message. When they open the PM, the message you sent will no longer be shown, to you, as being in your Outbox, but in your Sent Box.
Questions about the email function.
The email function can be found in some users profiles. Not all users will have this, as they have decided to disallow emails to be sent to them. You can disallow emails from users by accessing your UCP then clicking on Board Preferences. Then look for Allow users to send you private messages. Click on the button that says no, to disallow. You can change this back at any time by following the above process, then click on Yes
Nobody on the site can, from the email setting or icon see your actual email address. It is encoded. Admin and moderators do have access to your email details, however, they will never be passed on or used in any way other than to contact you via this site.
IMPORTANT INFO If you are emailed by someone from here, the email will be sent to the email-address you specified on registration, or have subsequently added into your profile. You have the choice to then contact them. If you reply from YOUR personal email account (basically, not on this site) then your personal email details will be in the "sender address", exactly as if you had emailed anyone else. All the email function does on this site is pass the message to your email account, using a forwarder. Of course, if you are in any doubt, or wish not to reveal your email, then either follow the steps above and disallow the email function or DO NOT REPLY.
Lastly, if you are contacted by anyone from this site using the email function, or private message, who then tries to sell you stuff, poach you to a different site, or in any way harrass you, then please forward your concern to a moderator or admin. Do not send us the email straight away, but please do not delete it. We take abuse of users, and of this sites free to use ethos very seriously, and will suspend and then ban without question those who are proved to be harrassing users, poaching our membership to other sites, or try to use this site to earn money without prior permission. We will also report those we ban to their ISP under their terms of use contract. We can only do this if emails are reported to us. We're a free site and we cannot survive if our efforts to bring in new members are eroded by those who take the easy option of using our free facilities to build their membership base.

The text is too small
Mostly this is to do with the default setting which is fine for most people. Though it is changeable! If you look at the black part of the top of the screen. Over on the right side you'll see a capital "A"
Beside the "A" are 2 very small arrows, one up, one down. Click on the the one pointing up and you should see the text size increase. It's like magic...
My email / phone details were removed from a post!
